Zombies, RUN!
Apr. 10th, 2014 12:27 pmYes, yes, I know. I'm a year or so late trying this app out, but I've only just got a cellphone compatable with it. After running the first mission in the '5k trainer' version of the app, i.e. start with this program if you don't run already cause it'll get you in shape to try the main app...
My legs are jelly. My lungs are slightly burning. Had my inhaler in my hand for most of it, took about a dose every 8 minutes. This keeps up I'm really going to need a new inhaler soon! Actually had a fit of coughing when it was time to stop... and had to keep going because my planned route hit mission end a block away. Never got above a walk.
Still, so far the story is engaging, and I look forward to finding out what happens next in the story. Gotta say though, it was rather disconcerting. It starts with me being in a helicopter that crashlands, and I've got to run through the zed to safety, right? Well, irl my neighborhood tends to be right in the path of where helicopters fly in this city. I had to stop myself from trying to wave one down to get me out of the zombie-infested zone. Hello immersion!
