Seriously. I spend too much. No one I know counts as adult supervision that will stop me from spending too much. Enablers, all of them.
Meanwhile, after my visit today I have a new broom, a bag and a half of potting soil, my peace lily finally replanted just before it hit rootbound, a baby aloe vera that's going out in the yard and going to be encouraged to spread like a weed, a german thyme in a little pot on my windowsill, and an orange mint. And of course, enough pots to do said replanting and put my new two indoor plants in new homes.
Four different freaking mints in the house, and the pineapple mint given up on. The thing refused to thrive no matter what I did, so I took a cutting of the only healthy part of the plant left and planted the last, wilted stalk outside in the garden bed in the hopes that the change of scene would help.
I am done expanding things. I have four plants by my computer, another four in the living room, one in the kitchen, and one that's a gift to my Dad hiding out on the porch to be delivered tomorrow. No more. Mental foot put down.
... except maybe some large peace lilies to replace the fake trees my hubby has in the living room, but those can wait. I swear the ones on the shelves came up to my shoulders, but no room in my car. NOT FOR A WHILE THOUGH. DONE. STOPPIT BRAIN. DONE. NO MORE PLANTS. MINT PLANTS ARE NOT POKEMON, I DO NOT NEED TO 'CATCH EM ALL'.
Just gotta keep telling myself that...
